Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Amends the definition of "low-speed gas bicycle" to include a device with a gasoline motor of less than 15 cubic centimeter displacement. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1-140.15 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/1-140.15)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 1-140.15. Low-speed gas bicycle. A 2 or 3-wheeled |
| 8 | | device with fully operable pedals and a gasoline motor of less |
| 9 | | than one horsepower or 15 cubic centimeter displacement, whose |
| 10 | | maximum speed on a paved level surface, when powered solely by |
| 11 | | such a motor while ridden by an operator who weighs 170 pounds, |
| 12 | | is less than 20 miles per hour.
