| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 1-2-1.3 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (65 ILCS 5/1-2-1.3 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1-2-1.3. Pet grooming vending machines. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any zoning ordinance adopted by the |
| 9 | | municipality, the corporate authorities of a municipality may |
| 10 | | pass an ordinance to prohibit or regulate the location of |
| 11 | | vending machines that provide an enclosed space or designated |
| 12 | | area for the use of a customer for pet grooming using goods or |
| 13 | | services dispensed by the machine.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law.
