| 7 | | Sec. 12-6.2-5. Extortion. |
| 8 | | (a) A person commits extortion when he or she knowingly |
| 9 | | obtains, attempts to obtain, or causes to be obtained, |
| 10 | | property, services, something of value, advantage or immunity |
| 11 | | from another person, with that person's consent, when the |
| 12 | | consent is induced by wrongful use of the threat of fear or |
| 13 | | actual or threatened force, violence, or under color of |
| 14 | | official right. |
| 15 | | (b) Sentence. Extortion is a Class 3 felony.".
