AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4696 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4696, AS AMENDED, 
3by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:

 
5    "Section 5. The Department of Natural Resources Act is 
6amended  by changing Section 1-17 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 801/1-17)

8    Sec. 1-17. Licenses; privacy protection. 

9    (a) For purposes of this Section, "license" means a 
10license required under
Article 3 of the Wildlife Code or under 
11Article 20 of the Fish and Aquatic Life
Code.

12    (b) As soon as practicable, the Department must assign a 
13customer
identification number to each
applicant for a 
14license.  After the applicant has been assigned a customer

15identification number, the applicant may use that customer 
16identification
number in place of his or her social security

1number on any subsequent
application for a license.  The 
2Department must keep a record of the social
security number of 
3each applicant. The Department shall notify the applicant
that 
4his or her social security number is kept on file with the 
5Department.

6    (c) A licensee's social security number shall not appear 
7on the face of his
or her license.
8    (d) The Department shall offer to each successful 
9purchaser of a hunting license that was obtained by online 
10purchase and issued pursuant to the Wildlife Code the 
11opportunity to be redirected to the First Person Consent organ 
12and tissue donor registry website maintained by the Secretary 
13of State under Section 6-117 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
