Amends the Landlord and Tenant Act. Provides that if the tenant of a residential property restricted to residents who are senior citizens reports mold in the tenant's residence, the landlord shall pay for a mold test, and if mold is found, the landlord shall pay for removal of the mold.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Landlord and Tenant Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 17 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (765 ILCS 705/17 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 17. Mold in senior residences. If the tenant of a |
| 8 | | residential property restricted to residents who are senior |
| 9 | | citizens reports mold in the tenant's residence, the landlord |
| 10 | | shall pay for a mold test. If mold is found, the landlord shall |
| 11 | | pay for removal of the mold.
