| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 50 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 105/50 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 50. Conversion therapy funds prohibited. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the |
| 9 | | State shall not expend or invest any public funds in any |
| 10 | | organization, nonprofit organization, religious organization, |
| 11 | | or any other entity that performs conversion therapy. Any |
| 12 | | public funds owed by the State to an organization performing |
| 13 | | conversion therapy as of the effective date of this amendatory |
| 14 | | Act of the 102nd General Assembly shall be withheld from such |
| 15 | | organization, and any contract between the State and that |
| 16 | | organization shall be void.
