| 1 | | The school administrator salary schedule must be based on |
| 2 | | the average hourly rates of all principals, assistant |
| 3 | | principals, and regular teachers employed by the district on |
| 4 | | the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General |
| 5 | | Assembly and on the effective date of each teacher contract |
| 6 | | entered into after the effective date of this amendatory Act |
| 7 | | of the 102nd General Assembly. The school administrator salary |
| 8 | | schedule shall be set so that whenever pay increases occur for |
| 9 | | teachers, school administrators shall receive the same |
| 10 | | percentage increase in salary as those teachers. |
| 11 | | (b) The initial school administrator salary schedule under |
| 12 | | this Section must take effect within 2 months after the |
| 13 | | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General |
| 14 | | Assembly. Each subsequent school administrator salary schedule |
| 15 | | must take effect within one month after the effective date of |
| 16 | | each teacher contract entered into after the effective date of |
| 17 | | this amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly. |
| 18 | | (c) No teacher who becomes a school administrator shall |
| 19 | | lose non-salary compensation, such as vacation and sick day |
| 20 | | accrual, health care options, or retirement benefits. Any such |
| 21 | | non-salary compensation that has been denied to a school |
| 22 | | administrator prior to the effective date of this amendatory |
| 23 | | Act of the 102nd General Assembly must be restored if teachers |
| 24 | | have such non-salary compensation.".
