Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Director of Veterans' Affairs shall be a veteran who was honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces and has experience in either a medical profession, health care, or assisted living facility management.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 5-240 as follows: |
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 5/5-240 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-240. Director of Veterans' Affairs. The Director of |
| 8 | | Veterans' Affairs shall be a veteran who was honorably |
| 9 | | discharged from the United States Armed Forces and has |
| 10 | | experience in either a medical profession, health care, or |
| 11 | | assisted living facility management.
