| 2 | | WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Fall |
| 3 | | 2021 Waiver Report Denials,
dated January 28, 2022, with the |
| 4 | | House of Representatives, the Senate, and the
Secretary of |
| 5 | | State of Illinois as required by Section 2-3.25g of the School |
| 6 | | Code; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The General Assembly finds that school finance |
| 8 | | changes should be handled in a
consistent manner in |
| 9 | | consultation with ISBE, which shall provide recommendations on |
| 10 | | the best
procedure to ensure changes to these requirements in |
| 11 | | the future are given the necessary
scrutiny to ensure the best |
| 12 | | outcomes for school districts and communities; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, The General Assembly will assess this issue |
| 14 | | thoroughly and address the underlying
issues to ensure that |
| 15 | | the waiver process is used for its intended purpose; |
| 16 | | therefore, be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 18 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 19 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the waiver request
made by |
| 20 | | Indian Prairie Unit School District #204, identified in the |
| 21 | | report filed by the State Board
of Education as request |
| 22 | | M-300-6892, is approved; and be it further
