| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the REALTOR Association | ||||||
| 4 | of the Fox Valley on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, The Aurora Real Estate Board was chartered on | ||||||
| 6 | January 13, 1921; the Elgin Real Estate Board was chartered on | ||||||
| 7 | January 17, 1924; the Fox Valley Board of REALTORS was | ||||||
| 8 | chartered on May 9, 1946; the Tri-County Board of REALTORS was | ||||||
| 9 | chartered on November 15, 1960; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Greater Aurora Association of REALTORS and | ||||||
| 11 | the Tri-County Board of REALTORS merged to form the Aurora | ||||||
| 12 | Tri-County Association of REALTORS on May 5, 2000; the Elgin | ||||||
| 13 | Area Association of REALTORS and the Fox Valley Association of | ||||||
| 14 | REALTORS merged to form the REALTOR Association of the Fox | ||||||
| 15 | Valley on November 8, 2001; the REALTOR Association of the Fox | ||||||
| 16 | Valley and the Aurora Tri-County Association of REALTORS | ||||||
| 17 | merged on May 18, 2010, retaining the name the REALTOR | ||||||
| 18 | Association of the Fox Valley; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Since its inception, the REALTOR Association of | ||||||
| 20 | the Fox Valley, including its predecessor entities, has been | ||||||
| 21 | serving its members and the citizens of Cook, Kane, Kendall, | ||||||
| 22 | and DeKalb counties and working to enhance professionalism in | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | the real estate industry; and | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The REALTOR Association of the Fox Valley has | ||||||
| 3 | been a longtime, ardent advocate for its members and the | ||||||
| 4 | communities they serve, working with government officials at | ||||||
| 5 | the local, state, and national levels to promote and protect | ||||||
| 6 | private property rights; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The REALTOR Association of the Fox Valley | ||||||
| 8 | cultivates relationships with local businesses and is actively | ||||||
| 9 | engaged in the economies of all the communities in which its | ||||||
| 10 | members and business partners operate; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The REALTOR Association of the Fox Valley and its | ||||||
| 12 | members and business partners serve the citizens and stimulate | ||||||
| 13 | the improvement of the aforementioned communities; therefore, | ||||||
| 14 | be it

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 16 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 17 | we declare January 13, 2021 as "REALTOR Association of the Fox | ||||||
| 18 | Valley Day" in the State of Illinois; and be it further | ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, That we congratulate the REALTOR Association of | ||||||
| 20 | the Fox Valley on its 100th anniversary; and be it further

| 1 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 2 | presented to the REALTOR Association of the Fox Valley as a | ||||||
| 3 | symbol of our respect and esteem.
