| 2 | | WHEREAS, The State of Illinois needs a reasonable, |
| 3 | | deliberate, and measured plan for administering vaccinations |
| 4 | | for COVID-19; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, It is essential that vaccinations be administered |
| 6 | | fairly in each county in the State, under the same guidelines, |
| 7 | | and equitable to each region and population in the State; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, According to the Centers for Disease Control and |
| 9 | | Prevention (CDC), nationwide, as of January 26, 2021, 5.8% of |
| 10 | | the population has received 1 out of the 2 doses necessary for |
| 11 | | full protection from current COVID-19 vaccines; 1% of the |
| 12 | | population has received 2 out of the 2 doses necessary for full |
| 13 | | protection from current COVID-19 vaccines; 41,418,325 doses of |
| 14 | | the vaccine have been distributed, and 22,734,243 vaccinations |
| 15 | | have been given; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, According to the CDC, in Illinois as of January |
| 17 | | 26, 2021, 4.6% of the population has received 1 out of the 2 |
| 18 | | doses necessary for full protection from current COVID-19 |
| 19 | | vaccines; 1.1% of the population has received 2 out of the 2 |
| 20 | | doses necessary for full protection from current COVID-19 |
| 21 | | vaccines; 1,417,250 doses of the vaccine have been |
| 22 | | distributed, and 723,203 vaccinations have been given; and
