HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Bobbie Drew on her retirement after 23 years of dedicated service to the Illinois General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Bobbie Drew began her career with the Illinois House of Representatives in December 1998 as a Legislative Assistant to Democratic members of the House of Representatives and has worked with many members over the past 23 years of her professional career; and

WHEREAS, Bobbie Drew was often among the first to arrive in the office every morning and worked extended hours and even occasionally devoted Saturdays between session weeks to set up and prepare for the busy days that followed; and

WHEREAS, Bobbie Drew was also very generous with her time in helping new Legislative Assistants transition into their new role while also devoting time to support her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, A loving mother to her children, Bobbie Drew is also a proud grandmother who often enjoys baking and crafting with her grandchildren and is a constant source of love and support to her husband Willie; and

WHEREAS, Bobbie Drew's hard work and devotion to those around her helped to make all the work of the members she assisted possible, and she will be fondly remembered by all to whom she has been a friend and a mentor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Bobbie Drew on the occasion of her retirement, thank her for her many years of committed service to the Illinois General Assembly and the people of the State of Illinois, and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Bobbie Drew as a symbol of our highest esteem and utmost respect.
