HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc. was founded in 
3Carlinville and has supplied quality products and services to 
4the diesel market for over 45 years; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, In addition to its Carlinville branch, Area 
6Diesel Service, Inc. has expanded with branches in Pleasant 
7Hill, Iowa and Indianapolis, Indiana; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc. chose to work with the 
9Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) in devoting 
10time and resources to becoming ISO 9001:2015 certified and 
11embracing ISO standards as part of their business; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, With the new certification, Area Diesel Service, 
13Inc. expects higher sales and has created and retained 50 jobs 
14so far in Carlinville while investing in their workforce 
15practices and employee skills; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc.'s accomplishment in 
17working with IMEC to gain ISO 9001:2015 certification fosters 
18recognition of quality business processes, product 
19environments, management system development, and documentation 
20with continual review and objectives for improvement; and

1    WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc.'s leadership devoted 
2their resources to incorporating the company's existing 
3philosophy of providing high levels of customer service and 
4satisfaction into a consistent standard for the entire 
5business operation; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Area Diesel Service, Inc. on their achievement 
9of earning ISO 9001:2015 certification with support from the 
10Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That the Illinois House of Representative thanks 
12the employees of Area Diesel Service, Inc. for continuing 
13their high quality work in Illinois; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to Area Diesel Service, Inc. of Carlinville as a 
16symbol of our respect and esteem.
