HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to commend Ravi and Rohan Mahajan, two 
4brothers who have provided invaluable community service 
5through their volunteer project during the COVID-19 pandemic; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan attend Hinsdale Central 
8High School, where Rohan is a junior and Ravi is a freshman; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan learned how to use a 3D 
11printer and spent their summer making over 1000 reusable face 
12shields for local police and fire departments, healthcare 
13workers, doctors' offices, and long-term care facilities; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan have contributed to 
15improving lives during a difficult time of shutdowns and 
16public anxiety over the spread of COVID-19, and the personal 
17protective equipment they provided may well have contributed 
18to saving lives; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan also made Christmas 
20ornaments and patriotic puzzles that they distributed to 
21veterans in long-term care at veteran's hospitals; and

1    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan managed to do all this 
2outstanding work for their community while excelling at school 
3and retaining top grade point averages; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Ravi and Rohan Mahajan's efforts are a great 
5example for young people across Illinois that anyone can make 
6a positive impact in their community through volunteering; 
7therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we commend Ravi and Rohan Mahajan for their volunteer work to 
11provide frontline workers with PPE during the COVID-19 
12pandemic; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
14presented to Ravi and Rohan Mahajan as an expression of our 
15esteem and gratitude.
