HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Bloomington Police Department Lieutenant Robert 
3"Bob" Wall has dedicated 27 years to protecting his fellow 
4residents of Bloomington; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Wall was hired as a Bloomington police 
6officer on June 20, 1994; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bob Wall was promoted to VICE detective on 
8January 1, 1997; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Wall continued to honorably and bravely serve 
10the Bloomington community and was awarded many more promotions 
11during his law enforcement career, including promotion to 
12sergeant for the  3rd shift and Criminal Investigation Division 
13in 2003, promotion to lieutenant in Professional Standards in 
142007, promotion to assistant chief in Operations in 2008; he  
15then chose to return to the Street/Crimes/Vice Division in 
162013; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Bob Wall's service earned many awards, including 
18Unit Citations in 1997, 2000, 2008 and 2019, an Education 
19commendation in 2000, and an award for Meritorious Service in 
202002; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we wish to join the Bloomington Community in commending 
4Lieutenant Robert (Bob) Wall for nearly three decades of 
5service, putting his life on the line for his neighbors, and 
6making his community a safer and better place; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That we congratulate Bob Wall well on the 
9occasion of his retirement from the Bloomington Police 
10Department and wish him well in all his future endeavors; and 
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Bob Wall as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
