HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James 
4Sisson, who passed away on April 23, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Sisson was deeply committed to his faith 
6and was a devoted member of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist 
7Church, serving as the choir director and in numerous other 
8roles within the church; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Sisson, from his earliest days, answered 
10the call to help others through his work with Mary's Mission, 
11providing toys, food, and joy to the children and families for 
12the least among us, as if they were the dearest; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, James Sisson leaves a legacy of service, 
14providing thousands of free meals to the community and 
15conducting school supply drives and book bag giveaways for our 
16youth; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, James Sisson was a devoted son, father, 
18confidant, and close friend; he was a person who was always 
19available to share an encouraging word or a shoulder to lean 
20on; he touched all with his generous spirit and kindness and 
21will always be remembered fondly; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of James Sisson and extend our sincere 
4condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
5him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  James Sisson as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
