HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to commend J.D. "Don" Holeman for his 
4dedication to the Mt. Zion Township and the community for over 
560 years; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Don Holeman is a resident of Mt. Zion Township; 
7he graduated from Mt. Zion High School; he served in the U.S. 
8Navy; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Don Holeman worked for PPG Industries for 30 
10years from April 1959 until his retirement in April 1989; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Don Holeman has served the residents of Mt. Zion 
12Township in many capacities, including as cemetery trustee and 
13community volunteer; during his tenure with the cemetery, he 
14has been instrumental in leading many initiatives that have 
15improved and enhanced the operations of the cemetery; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Don Holeman has spent countless hours 
17volunteering and supporting organizations in the community 
18over the past 60 years, including the Mt. Zion Youth Softball 
19and Baseball Farm League, the Mt. Zion Junior Football League, 
20the Mt. Zion Sports Boosters Club, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit, 
21Holy Family Catholic School and Church, the Good Samaritan

1Inn, and many other organizations; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Don Holeman's dedication to public service and 
3selfless leadership should be recognized and emulated; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we commend J.D. "Don" Holeman for being a dedicated leader and 
8devoted servant to the Mt. Zion Township and community for 
9over 60 years; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Don Holeman as an expression of our esteem and 
12respect.
