HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Cottage Grove Heights 
4Community Coalition on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition was 
7founded by Daphne Skinner, a resident of Cottage Grove 
8Heights, on June 27, 1996 to address the pressing concerns, 
9issues, and needs of the community; on that day, more than one 
10hundred residents of Cottage Grove Heights joined together to 
11start a proactive group; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition's 
13initial goal was to make Cottage Grove Heights a healthy 
14community by establishing community services and activities 
15for all age groups; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition 
17became a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization on October 17, 
181996; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, The Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition's 
20mission is to enhance community awareness, provide community 
21services, and promote the development, establishment, or

1expansion of industries; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate the Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition 
5on its 25th anniversary, and we wish it many more wonderful 
6years; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the Cottage Grove Heights Community Coalition as 
9a symbol of our respect and esteem.
