HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Three Rivers 
4Association of REALTORS on the occasion of its 100th 
5anniversary of being part of the National Association of 
6REALTORS; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Joliet–Will County Board of REALTORS was 
8founded in 1916 and became part of the National Association of 
9REALTORS in 1921; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The organization became known as the Will County 
11Board of REALTORS in 1979 and the Will County Association of 
12REALTORS in 1989; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The organization expanded their geographic 
14footprint to include Grundy County and became the Will-Grundy 
15Association of REALTORS in 1996; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The organization took their current form and 
17became the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS in 2003; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Throughout the Three Rivers Association of 
19REALTORS 100-year history as part of the National Association 
20of REALTORS, it has upheld the highest ethical standards while

1serving as the "Voice of Real Estate" in Will and Grundy 
2Counties and the surrounding area; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, The Three Rivers Association of REALTORS has 
4provided services to generations of members in areas of 
5Leadership, Multiple Listing Service Access, Professional 
6Standards, Continuing Education, Advocacy, Industry and Social 
7Events, and Community Outreach; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS, 
11President Edward Ruettiger IV, President-Elect Gilbert Kirby, 
12Secretary-Treasurer Elisabeth Stopka-Rios, Chief Executive 
13Officer Neil Malone, and their staff and the entire past and 
14present membership on the occasion of the association's 100th 
15anniversary, and we wish them many more years of success as 
16they begin their second century of service; and be it further
  
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
18presented to the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS as an 
19expression of our high esteem and best wishes.
