HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Grace Kinstler  of 
4Lakewood on placing as a finalist on American Idol; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Grace Kinstler attended Crystal Lake Central High 
6School from 2014 to 2018, where she was an active member of 
7choir and musical theater productions; she is currently 
8majoring in Songwriting at Berklee College of Music; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Grace Kinstler recently competed as a contestant 
10and placed third as a finalist on American Idol; along the way, 
11she shared the stage with critically acclaimed artists, 
12including Joss Stone and Alessia Cara; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Grace Kinstler returned to her hometown to film a 
14live performance for American Idol, where she was honored with 
15a parade and celebration by her closest supporters and fans in 
16the community; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Grace Kinstler is the daughter of Sherry Kinstler 
18and the late Mitch Kinstler; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Grace Kinstler, at only 20 years old, has 
20inspired the nation with her talent and artistry; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Grace Kinstler on placing as a finalist on 
5American Idol and thank her for sharing her extraordinary 
6talent with us all; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Grace Kinstler as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
