HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Morgan Park High 
4School baseball team, the Mustangs, on winning the 2021 
5Chicago Public League City Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Mustangs' victory came on May 29, 2021 at 
7Kerry Wood Field against their rival, Simeon Career Academy, 
8who they defeated in a two-day, rain-delayed thriller, 14-11; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Mustangs were honored on June 3rd with a 
11parade down Vincennes Avenue featuring a Chicago Fire 
12Department and Chicago Police Department escort followed by a 
13brief program and pep rally at Morgan Park High School; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Mustangs also won the city championship in 
152014; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, The Mustangs advanced to the state playoffs; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we congratulate the Morgan Park High School baseball team, the

2Championship, and we wish them many more successful seasons;

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
