HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Mike Lootens on the occasion of his retirement as principal of Epiphany Catholic School; and

WHEREAS, Mike Lootens was always the first one at school every morning, and he stayed late for after-school and evening activities; he gladly helped with anything and everything every day; and

WHEREAS, Mike Lootens knew every family in the school and called every child by name; he made every family feel like they were his favorite; and

WHEREAS, Mike Lootens led by example with a servant's heart and was always friendly, visible, and approachable; and

WHEREAS, During Mike Lootens's first year as the principal in 2011, Epiphany Catholic School became a Blue Ribbon School; and

WHEREAS, Mike Lootens is a man of great faith, and he has always stressed the importance of making family a priority; and

WHEREAS, As Mike Lootens embarks on retirement, he will be remembered by all of who have been blessed to work with him and call him a friend, as well as the many students and families whose lives he has touched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mike Lootens on his retirement as principal of Epiphany Catholic School and join his community in thanking him for his passion for education and for his dedication to our families and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we commend Mike Lootens for the invaluable contributions he has made to our children's future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mike Lootens and his family with our wish for good health and much happiness in retirement.
