HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on 
4the occasion of his retirement from the Zion Police 
5Department; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Chief Henderson graduated from Illinois State 
7University in 1987, the Northwestern University Center for 
8Public Safety in 2007, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation 
9National Academy in 2014; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has served the Zion Police 
11Department since April 1992; he has held various positions 
12within the department, including patrol officer, school 
13resource officer, detective, corporal/sergeant, lieutenant, 
14and deputy chief; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has been a dedicated public 
16servant to the Zion community for nearly 30 years, and he has 
17made significant contributions to the quality and progress of 
18the Zion Police Department; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
20HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
21congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on his retirement from the

1Zion Police Department, and we wish him the best in all his 
2future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to Chief Henderson as an expression of our esteem 
5and respect.
