HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Theresa L. Kelly for her 
4service to Proviso Township District 209; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Theresa Kelly has served as a dedicated member of 
6the Proviso Township District 209 Board of Education for the 
7past 22 years; she is the longest-serving member on the board; 
8and
  
  
9    WHEREAS, Theresa Kelly has made a longstanding and 
10unwavering commitment to Proviso Township District 209, which 
11she has shown in a number of ways, from purchasing clothes for 
12students and helping families in need to working to develop 
13strong community engagement in the educational process; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Theresa Kelly stands as an advocate for students, 
15staff, and members of the Proviso community and has dedicated 
16her life to identifying and serving the needs of children to 
17set them on the path for a lifetime of success; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Theresa Kelly epitomizes Proviso Township 
19District 209's mantra of "Nihil Nisi Optimum", or "Nothing But 
20The Best"; and

1    WHEREAS, Theresa Kelly will be honored by the dedication  
2of the new Proviso East High School football stadium as the 
3Theresa L. Kelly Stadium with a ceremony on October 10, 2021; 
4the stadium  at 807 S. 1st Avenue in Maywood will stand as a 
5legacy to Theresa's tireless work and as a symbol of a life of 
6dedicated community service; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we recognize Theresa L. Kelly for her service to  Proviso 
10Township District 209, and we thank her for her continued 
11dedication to the students and the community; and be it 
12further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Theresa Kelly as an expression of our esteem and 
15respect.
