| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate long-time Mundelein High | ||||||
| 4 | School Varsity Head Football Coach Frank Giannamore of | ||||||
| 5 | Mundelein on the occasion of his induction into the Lake | ||||||
| 6 | County High School Sports Hall of Fame; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore served in the Illinois National | ||||||
| 8 | Guard for eight years, played football as an undergraduate for | ||||||
| 9 | the Northern Illinois Huskies, and earned his master's degree | ||||||
| 10 | in education from Northern Illinois University in 1968; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore began his teaching career at the | ||||||
| 12 | former Libertyville-Mundelein High School; when the districts | ||||||
| 13 | separated, he then worked at Mundelein High School for 47 | ||||||
| 14 | years, where he taught physical education and driver education | ||||||
| 15 | and became a counselor, an advisor for the Students Against | ||||||
| 16 | Destructive Decisions (SADD) organization, and a football, | ||||||
| 17 | wrestling, and baseball coach; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore built a reputation for excellent | ||||||
| 19 | leadership in the field of education and earned several awards | ||||||
| 20 | for his significant contributions, including the Enrique | ||||||
| 21 | Camarena One Person Can Award for his 25 years as a SADD | ||||||
| 22 | advisor, the Lake County Lakeland Media Recognition for those | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | who make a difference in Lake County and for its residents, and | ||||||
| 2 | the Illinois State Board of Education's Those That Excel Award | ||||||
| 3 | of Merit; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore has coached at Mundelein High | ||||||
| 5 | School for over four decades, recently earning his induction | ||||||
| 6 | into the Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame for his | ||||||
| 7 | Outstanding Achievement as a Football, Wrestling, and Baseball | ||||||
| 8 | Coach; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore was previously inducted into the | ||||||
| 10 | Illinois High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 2005 and | ||||||
| 11 | the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall | ||||||
| 12 | of Fame in 2015; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Frank Giannamore has left an indelible mark on | ||||||
| 14 | those who have worked alongside him, and he has positively | ||||||
| 15 | helped shape the lives of countless young people; therefore, | ||||||
| 16 | be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 18 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 19 | we congratulate Frank Giannamore on his induction into the | ||||||
| 20 | Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame and commend his | ||||||
| 21 | lifetime of service to the Mundelein High School community; | ||||||
| 22 | and be it further
