| 2 | | WHEREAS, Peter Bulat founded Automatic Precision, Inc. |
| 3 | | (API) 45 years ago in 1976, and it was established on Nashville |
| 4 | | Street in Chicago; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, API moved to River Grove and expanded to a second |
| 6 | | building located in Franklin Park in 1980; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, API then moved to Harwood Heights in 1986 and |
| 8 | | added a second Harwood Heights location in 2000; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, API opened a CNC Swiss dedicated facility in |
| 10 | | Harwood Heights in 2013; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, API manufactures Escomatic and CNC Swiss |
| 12 | | precision parts with a specialization in electrical contacts |
| 13 | | and connectors and operates two buildings, which house more |
| 14 | | than 200 machines; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Peter Bulat continues to operate this |
| 16 | | family-owned business with his two sons, Chris and John Bulat, |
| 17 | | who serve as vice president and treasurer/CFO, respectively; |
| 18 | | and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, API serves 21 industries, including the aerospace |
|

| 1 | | and aircraft, electronics, medical, plumbing, and robotics |
| 2 | | industries; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Valuing the craftsmen who produce and take pride |
| 4 | | in quality products, API has committed to state of the art |
| 5 | | manufacturing technology, demonstrated talent for solving |
| 6 | | problems creatively in engineering, and applied rigorous |
| 7 | | measures in quality assurance while subscribing to |
| 8 | | philosophies in exemplary customer service; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, API is also dedicated to improving the |
| 10 | | environment and exercises duties such as recycling scrap |
| 11 | | properly and capturing and containing cutting fluids to be |
| 12 | | recycled or removed and reused in other industries; therefore, |
| 13 | | be it

| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 15 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 16 | | we congratulate Peter Bulat, Chris Bulat, and John Bulat, and |
| 17 | | we recognize 45 years of their successful operation of |
| 18 | | Automatic Precision, Inc. and their years of dedication to |
| 19 | | their craft and community; and be it further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 21 | | presented to Peter Bulat, Chris Bulat, and John Bulat as an |
| 22 | | expression of our esteem and respect.
