| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate McHenry County Sheriff's | ||||||
| 4 | Office Sergeant Trent Raupp on being named the 2022 Most | ||||||
| 5 | Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the | ||||||
| 6 | Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp began his law enforcement career | ||||||
| 8 | as a correctional officer in 2007, later serving as a deputy | ||||||
| 9 | sheriff and detective; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp has served the McHenry County | ||||||
| 11 | Sheriff's Office for the past 15 years; he was promoted to his | ||||||
| 12 | current role in early 2022; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp was nominated for the honor by | ||||||
| 14 | McHenry County Sheriff Bill Prim due to his outstanding | ||||||
| 15 | achievements as an investigator and his dedication to | ||||||
| 16 | protecting his community; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp, in being nominated for this | ||||||
| 18 | honor, was cited for the integral role he played in the | ||||||
| 19 | investigation of the disappearance of Holiday Hills resident | ||||||
| 20 | Michelle M. Arnold-Boesiger in January 2021; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp dedicated himself to locating | ||||||
| 2 | Arnold-Boesiger's whereabouts despite numerous dead-ends while | ||||||
| 3 | working alongside the FBI and the Wisconsin Department of | ||||||
| 4 | Criminal Investigations to investigate the case; he also | ||||||
| 5 | assisted in the arrest of the perpetrator to bring | ||||||
| 6 | Arnold-Boesiger's murderer to justice; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Sergeant Raupp will be honored at the Illinois | ||||||
| 8 | Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Awards Banquet on April | ||||||
| 9 | 29, 2022; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 11 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we congratulate Sergeant Trent Raupp on being named the 2022 | ||||||
| 13 | Most Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year; and be | ||||||
| 14 | it further

| 15 | RESOLVED, That we thank Sergeant Raupp for his dedication | ||||||
| 16 | to protecting his community and being a voice for justice; and | ||||||
| 17 | be it further

| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to Sergeant Raupp as an expression of our respect | ||||||
