HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the synchronized skating 
4team, Teams Elite Junior, on placing third at the 2022 
5International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Synchronized 
6Skating Championships; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Teams Elite is a highly competitive synchronized 
8skating organization based in Northbrook; the organization, 
9through its teams, combines the grace of ballet, the elegance 
10of ice dancing, and the thrill of split-second maneuvers, with 
11each team skating as one unit; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The 2022 ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating 
13Championships took place in Innsbruck, Austria from March 17 
14to March 19, 2022; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Teams Elite Junior made its debut at the 2022 ISU 
16World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships while 
17representing the United States; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Teams Elite Junior performed to an energetic 
19Missy Elliott medley for its free skate, finishing with the 
20second-best components score in the 23-team field and earning 
21the bronze medal overall; and

1    WHEREAS, Teams Elite Junior is led by Head Coach Danielle 
2Ostrower and Assistant Coaches Lauren Roman, Jamie Whyte, and 
3Josh Fischel; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate the synchronized skating team, Teams Elite 
7Junior, on earning third at the 2022 ISU World Junior 
8Synchronized Skating Championships; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That we wish the skaters of Teams Elite Junior 
10continued success; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Head Coach Danielle Ostrower as an expression of 
13our esteem and respect.
