HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to commend William "Bill" Grear for his 
413 years of service as a trustee of the Village of Morton 
5Grove; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Bill Grear was born and raised in Morton Grove 
7along with his nine siblings, attending St. Martha Elementary 
8School and Notre Dame High School; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bill Grear and his wife, Janice, raised their 
10three children in Morton Grove; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bill Grear was first elected as a trustee of 
12Morton Grove in 2009, taking an active approach while 
13dedicating himself to his mission of making life better for 
14residents, businesses, and employees of Morton Grove; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill Grear has been a leading volunteer for 
16countless fundraisers and community events; he has also been a 
17key leader in organizing and running the Village's annual 
18Morton Grove Days Festival, and he was recently appointed as 
19president of the Morton Grove Days Commission; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Bill Grear has also served as trustee liaison to

1the Morton Grove Fire Department, the Police Department, the 
2RED Center, Public Works, the Finance Department, and the 
3Building Department; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Bill Grear's  commitment to serving his community 
5has been an immeasurable asset to the Village of Morton Grove; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we commend William "Bill" Grear for his hard work, dedication, 
10and service as a trustee of the Village of Morton Grove; and be 
11it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Bill Grear as an expression of our esteem and 
14respect.
