HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3Representatives wish to congratulate the Rockridge High School

4softball team, the Rockets, of Taylor Ridge on the occasion of 
5winning the 2022 Illinois High School Association Class 2A 
6Softball State Tournament; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Rockets remained undefeated in their 2022 
8season, finishing the state championship series with a 35-0 
9season record; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Rockets entered the state tournament as the 
11defending
champions with an undefeated 29-0 record in 2021; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Rockets' combined 64-0 record for the 2021 
14and 2022 seasons
made the Rockets the first team in Illinois 
15history to achieve back-to-back
undefeated championship 
16seasons; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The Rockets' success was due in part to the 
18community, school, and coaching
staff, whose commendable  
19support and effort allow students to grow
and excel, further 
20building a successful softball program; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the Rockridge High School
softball team, the 
4Rockets, on winning the 2022 Illinois High School Association 
5Class 2A Softball State Tournament, and we commend the entire 
6girls softball program at
Rockridge High School for their 
7successful season; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

9presented to the Rockets
as an expression of our respect and 
10esteem for their
hard work.
