| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Dave Dahl on being the |
| 4 | | first to be named Outstanding Illinois Father by the Illinois |
| 5 | | Council on Responsible Fatherhood in October of 2022; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Dave Dahl is father to 25-year-old Clifford Dahl, |
| 7 | | who has a rare neurological condition called Batten disease |
| 8 | | that affects a person's brain and nervous system, and this |
| 9 | | disease has caused Clifford to lose his sight and require |
| 10 | | significant living assistance; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Dave Dahl and his wife, Corrina Dahl, have |
| 12 | | diligently been by Clifford's side as his health has worsened |
| 13 | | since contracting COVID-19, in addition to providing support |
| 14 | | to their younger son, Isaac Dahl; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, As news director at WTAX, Dave Dahl often reports |
| 16 | | on stories happening in Springfield and at the Capitol |
| 17 | | Building, and many Illinois representatives and politicians |
| 18 | | have come to know that Dave Dahl is a wonderful father who has |
| 19 | | a great deal of love for his son and his entire family; |
