HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Melanie Falk began her career with the City of 
3Macomb on July 19, 1982 as a secretary in the Zoning and 
4Assessor's Office; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, In March of 1986, Melanie Falk transferred to the 
6City Clerk's Office as a Secretary II, was later promoted to 
7the position of Executive Secretary, and was then appointed 
8Deputy City Clerk in December of 1994; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Melanie Falk campaigned and was elected as Macomb 
10City Clerk in February 1999 and was sworn into office on May 
114th of that year; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Melanie Falk continued to be re-elected for six 
13additional consecutive four-year terms; she was sworn into 
14office in May of 2003, May of 2007, May of 2011, May of 2015, 
15and May of 2019; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Melanie Falk is supported by her loving husband, 
17Mike, her daughters, Morgan and Macie, and her grandsons, 
18Rhett and Easton; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Melanie Falk is celebrating her 40th anniversary 
20serving the City of Macomb and its citizens; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we declare July 19, 2022 as Melanie Falk Day in the State of 
4Illinois.
