HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Alfred 
4W. Burnett Jr. of Peoria, who passed away on December 6, 2022; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Alfred Burnett was born in Peoria to Alfred W. 
7and Juanita A. (Trigg) Burnett Sr. on March 3, 1946; he married 
8Cathleen Ann "Cathy" Barden on March 3, 1966; he served in the 
9U.S. Marine Corps; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Alfred Burnett worked as a pipefitter for 
11Caterpillar for over four decades; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Alfred Burnett worked closely with American 
13Legion Post #2 beginning in 2010; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Alfred Burnett was preceded in death by his wife, 
15Cathy, and his siblings, Robert, John (Marsha), and Raymond 
16Burnett; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Alfred Burnett is survived by his daughter, Tammy 
18Burnett; his siblings, Eva Burnett, Phil Burnett, and Sharon 
19Cooley; and his daughter's pets,  Chip and Dale; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Alfred W. Burnett Jr. and extend our 
4sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
5and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

7presented to the family of Alfred Burnett as an expression of

8our deepest sympathy.
