| 4 | | Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 3-6002 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 3-6002. Commencement of duties. The sheriff shall |

the duties of his or her office on the first day in |

following his or her election on which |

required, by statute or by action |
