| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 225 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 5, line 4, after the period, by inserting "This |
| 4 | | subsection shall not apply to requests from federal, State, or |
| 5 | | local law enforcement agencies or other governmental entities |
| 6 | | for facial recognition search services or photographs obtained |
| 7 | | in the process of issuing an identification card when the |
| 8 | | purpose of the request relates to criminal activity other than |
| 9 | | violations of immigration laws."; and

| 10 | | on page 6, line 19, after the period, by inserting "This |
| 11 | | subsection shall not apply to requests from federal, State, or |
| 12 | | local law enforcement agencies or other governmental entities |
| 13 | | for facial recognition search services or photographs obtained |
| 14 | | in the process of issuing a driver's license or permit when the |
| 15 | | purpose of the request relates to criminal activity other than |
| 16 | | violations of immigration laws.".
