Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that for the purpose of infection control and vaccine distribution during a public health emergency, the Department of Public Health shall prioritize MC/DD facilities at the same prioritization level as long-term care facilities under the Nursing Home Care Act. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-705 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2310/2310-705 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2310-705. MC/DD facilities infection control and |
| 9 | | vaccine distribution prioritization. For the purpose of |
| 10 | | infection control and vaccine distribution during a public |
| 11 | | health emergency, the Department shall prioritize MC/DD |
| 12 | | facilities, as defined in Section 1-113 of the MC/DD Act, at |
| 13 | | the same prioritization level as long-term care facilities, as |
| 14 | | defined in Section 1-113 of the Nursing Home Care Act.

| 15 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 16 | | becoming law.
