| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 145 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 145. Conversion of facilities. Entities licensed as
|
| 8 | | facilities
under the
the Nursing Home Care Act, the |
| 9 | | Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Act of 2013, the |
| 10 | | ID/DD Community Care Act, or the MC/DD Act may elect to convert
|
| 11 | | to a license under this Act. Any facility that
chooses to |
| 12 | | convert, in whole or in part, shall follow the requirements in |
| 13 | | the
Nursing Home Care Act, the Specialized Mental Health |
| 14 | | Rehabilitation Act of 2013, the ID/DD Community Care Act, or |
| 15 | | the MC/DD Act, as applicable, and rules promulgated under |
| 16 | | those Acts regarding voluntary
closure and notice to |
| 17 | | residents. Any conversion of existing beds licensed
under the |
| 18 | | Nursing Home Care Act, the Specialized Mental Health |
| 19 | | Rehabilitation Act of 2013, the ID/DD Community Care Act, or |
| 20 | | the MC/DD Act to licensure under this Act is exempt from
review |
| 21 | | by the Health Facilities and Services Review Board. |
