2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 18-15 as follows:
|
6 | | (35 ILCS 200/18-15)
|
7 | | Sec. 18-15. Filing of levies of taxing districts. |
8 | | (a) Notwithstanding any other
law to the contrary, all |
9 | | taxing districts, other than a school district subject to the |
10 | | authority of a Financial Oversight Panel pursuant to Article |
11 | | 1H of the School Code, shall annually certify to the county
|
12 | | clerk, on or before the last Tuesday in December, the several |
13 | | amounts that they
have levied.
|
14 | | (a-5) Certification to the county clerk under subsection |
15 | | (a) may be submitted electronically. |
16 | | (b) A school district subject to the authority of a |
17 | | Financial Oversight Panel pursuant to Article 1H of the School |
18 | | Code shall file a certificate of tax levy, necessary to effect |
19 | | the implementation of the approved financial plan and the |
20 | | approval of the Panel, as otherwise provided by this Section, |
21 | | except that the certificate must be certified to the county |
22 | | clerk on or before the first Tuesday in November. |
