| 1 | | AN ACT concerning employment.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
| 5 | | Consumer Coverage Disclosure Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act: |
| 7 | | "Employee" means any individual permitted to work by an |
| 8 | | employer. |
| 9 | | "Employer" means an individual, partnership, corporation, |
| 10 | | association, business, trust, person, or entity for whom |
| 11 | | employees are gainfully employed in Illinois and includes the |
| 12 | | State of Illinois, any State officer, department, or agency, |
| 13 | | any unit of local government, and any school district.

| 14 | | Section 10. Required disclosures. An employer that |
| 15 | | provides employees with a health insurance coverage policy |
| 16 | | written outside of this State must provide all employees at |
| 17 | | the start of employment and each year during open enrollment |
| 18 | | with a written list of the provisions set forth in Sections |
| 19 | | 356g through 356z.41 of the Illinois Insurance Code that are |
| 20 | | included in the provided health insurance coverage and a |
| 21 | | written list of those provisions that are not included in the |
| 22 | | provided health insurance coverage.
