1 | | (c) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall award |
2 | | grants to eligible businesses as follows: |
3 | | (1) Grants in the amount of $10,000 to small |
4 | | businesses and non-profit organizations with 50 or fewer |
5 | | employees, having gross revenue over $100,000, that can |
6 | | demonstrate a 25% reduction in revenue between 2019 and |
7 | | 2020. Such businesses and non-profit organizations in |
8 | | disadvantaged communities shall receive an additional |
9 | | $2,500 in funding. |
10 | | (2) Grants totaling 10% of the revenue loss sustained |
11 | | between 2019 and 2020 to eligible small businesses and |
12 | | non-profit organizations whose revenue did not exceed |
13 | | $100,000 in 2019. Such businesses and non-profit |
14 | | organizations in disadvantaged communities shall receive |
15 | | grants totaling 12.5% of that lost revenue. |
16 | | (3) Grants in the amount of $3,500 to small businesses |
17 | | and non-profit organizations that commenced operations in |
18 | | the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2019, and as such, are unable to |
19 | | demonstrate the requisite loss in revenue from 2019 to |
20 | | 2020. Such businesses and non-profit organizations in |
21 | | disadvantaged communities shall receive an additional $500 |
22 | | in funding. To be eligible for a grant under this |
23 | | paragraph (3), a business or non-profit organization must |
24 | | establish that prior to March 2020 it met at least 3 of the |
25 | | following criteria: (i) an established website or social |
26 | | media presence; (ii) an established office space; (iii) an |
