| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2071 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 3, immediately below line 6, by inserting the |
| 4 | | following:

| 5 | | "A social worker endorsement on a Professional |
| 6 | | Educator License may be issued, as defined and specified |
| 7 | | by rule no later than August 1, 2021, to an applicant who |
| 8 | | (i) has a master's degree in social work from a regionally |
| 9 | | accredited institution of higher education and (ii) holds |
| 10 | | a valid license issued pursuant to the Clinical Social |
| 11 | | Work and Social Work Practice Act. An applicant who |
| 12 | | satisfies these requirements is not required to complete |
| 13 | | an Illinois-approved educator preparation program but may |
| 14 | | be required to fulfill other criteria established by rule |
| 15 | | of the State Board of Education."; and

| 16 | | on page 14, by deleting lines 2 through 13.
