AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2191




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2191 on page 2, by 
3replacing lines 9 through 13 with the following:
 
4    "wrongfully imprisoned, including any pretrial detention 
5    period regarding the offense or offenses in question. In 
6    its determination of the award, the court shall include 
7    the number of years the person was imprisoned while

8    awaiting trial. The court shall award attorney's fees in 
9    an amount not to exceed 10% of the award granted. If 
10    attorney's fees are requested in an amount over $15,000, 
11    the court shall consider the petition for attorney's fees, 
12    supported by an affidavit setting forth the expenses, 
13    hours spent, hourly rates reasonably necessary to obtain 
14    the award, and any unpaid attorney's fees directly related 
15    to obtaining the certificate of innocence underlying the
