| 7 | | Sec. 5-1186. Conflict of interest with State's Attorney. |
| 8 | | If a majority of the county board, by resolution, determines |
| 9 | | that there is a conflict of interest between the State's |
| 10 | | Attorney and the county board, the county board may petition |
| 11 | | the circuit court to authorize the county board to hire |
| 12 | | outside legal counsel. The authorization shall be limited to |
| 13 | | representing the county board in civil matters involving the |
| 14 | | county board and shall be for the duration of the conflict of |
| 15 | | interest.
