| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2664 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 41, by replacing lines 21 and 22 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(a) Any commissioned notary public may perform any |
| 5 | | notarial act described under Section 6-102 remotely, after |
| 6 | | first determining, either from personal knowledge or from |
| 7 | | satisfactory evidence, that the signature is that of the |
| 8 | | person appearing before the notary and named therein. A notary |
| 9 | | public has satisfactory evidence that a person is the person |
| 10 | | whose true signature is on a document if that person: |
| 11 | | (1) is personally known to the notary; |
| 12 | | (2) is identified upon the oath or affirmation of a |
| 13 | | credible witness personally known to the notary; or |
| 14 | | (3) is identified on the basis of identification |
