AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3027 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3027 on page 2, by 
3replacing lines 4 through 18 with the following:
4    ""Volunteer emergency worker" means a person who:
5        (1) serves, on other than a full-time career basis, as 
6    a member of a fire department of (i) a fire protection 
7    district, (ii) a municipality, or (iii) another unit of 
8    government; or 


9        (2) meets all of the following criteria: 
10            (A) the person is licensed under the Emergency 
11        Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act as an Emergency 
12        Medical Responder (EMR) (First Responder), an 
13        Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), an Emergency 
14        Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I), an Advanced 
15        Emergency Medical Responder (A-EMT), a Paramedic 
16        (EMT-P), or a volunteer ambulance driver or attendant; 
17        and 
18            (B) the person serves, on other than a full-time

2        district, or a volunteer EMS provider. 
3    "Volunteer EMS provider" has the meaning given to that 
4term in Section 1-220 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.".
