Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the registration fee for cars and small trucks shall be reduced by $25 if vehicle is manufactured in this State and the application for registration is made no more than one year after the month in which the vehicle was manufactured.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3-806.10 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/3-806.10 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-806.10. Vehicles manufactured in Illinois. The |
| 8 | | registration fee under Section 3-806 for a first division |
| 9 | | vehicle other than an autocycle, motorcycle, motor driven |
| 10 | | cycle, or pedalcycle and for a second division vehicle |
| 11 | | weighing 8,000 pounds or less shall be reduced by $25 if the |
| 12 | | vehicle is manufactured in this State and the application for |
| 13 | | registration is made no more than one year after the month in |
| 14 | | which the vehicle was manufactured.
