AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3695 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3695 on page 2, by 
3replacing lines 18 through 25 with the following:
 
4"electronic medical records system operated or maintained by a 
5Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 
6covered entity as defined at 45 CFR 160.103, including 
7information that alone or compiled, or under circumstances in

8which the patient information combined with other information

9could allow for patient identification, in compliance with

10State and federal medical privacy laws and regulations,

11including, but not limited to, HIPAA and its
regulations, 45 
12CFR Parts 160 and 164), home or personal"; and
 
13on page 20, by replacing lines 8 through 17 with the following:
 
14        "(mm) All protected health information as defined by 
15    45 CFR 16.103 that may be
contained within or extracted
