SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dannie S. Shryack of Moline, who passed away on January 17, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack was born to Orville E. and Dorothy F. (Sallee) Shryack in McDonough County on December 19, 1943; he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army; he married his high school sweetheart, Judy Sheraden, in Rock Island on October 9, 1965; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack worked at Alcoa for 38 years; he retired in 2001 as a general manager of the quality physical testing department; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack was a member of the former Memorial Heights United Methodist Church and the QC Winnebago Camping Group; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; he was an avid traveler and visited all fifty states; he also enjoyed reading and working on miscellaneous projects around the house; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard "Dick" Shryack; and his sister, Shirley Phillis; and

WHEREAS, Dannie Shryack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy; his children, Christopher Shryack and Kimberly (Chris) Pastega; his grandchildren, Megan (Irvin) Stumberg, Kyle Shryack, Jason Shryack, Paige Shryack, Trevor Pastega, and Taylor Pastega; his sister-in-law, Judith Shryack; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Etta Sheraden; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dannie S. Shryack and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dannie Skryack as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
