| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Ray Torri of Rock Island, who passed |
| 4 | | away on January 16, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ray Torri was born to Alfiera (Mazza) and Mario |
| 6 | | Torri in Joliet on September 29, 1936; he attended Sacred |
| 7 | | Heart Grade School and graduated from Joliet Catholic High |
| 8 | | School in 1955;
he enlisted in the U.S. Army in June of 1957 |
| 9 | | and served for two years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Ray Torri first worked for the telephone company |
| 11 | | and then for Hockenburg Rubin Food Brokers from 1965 until he |
| 12 | | retired at age 62; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Ray Torri enjoyed going to the gym, having coffee |
| 14 | | with the guys at Panera every Friday morning, and playing |
| 15 | | Euchre with friends and family; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Ray Torri was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 17 | | his brother, Norbert; and his sister-in-law, Anne; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ray Torri is survived by his wife, Barbara; his |
| 19 | | daughters, Janet, Patty, and Sharon; his two grandsons, James |
| 20 | | and Glenn; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
