| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Gerald Allan Caldwell of Peoria, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 29, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Caldwell was born in Parsons, Kansas to |
| 6 | | Clarence Milton and Mildred Marie (Norrick) Caldwell on July |
| 7 | | 16, 1948; he attended Kansas University; he married Coleen |
| 8 | | Meier in Roeland Park, Kansas on December 16, 1972; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Caldwell worked as a retail sales manager |
| 10 | | for Tandy Leather Company for many years; he also worked as a |
| 11 | | baker for both Le Bakery and Trefzgers; he continued baking |
| 12 | | for the Peoria Bread Company after his retirement; he was |
| 13 | | well-known for his famous cinnamon rolls, which he sold for |
| 14 | | charity during the holidays; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Caldwell was actively involved with the |
| 16 | | Boy Scouts of America and was also a member of the Illinois |
| 17 | | Valley Leather Guild; he enjoyed woodworking, leather working, |
| 18 | | camping, and fishing; he cherished spending time with his |
| 19 | | family, especially his granddaughters; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Caldwell was a loving husband, father, |
| 21 | | grandfather, brother, and uncle; he was known for living life |
